Telephone calls during office hours may initially be directed by the autoattendant. Every effort is made to personally answer all telephone calls. However, if the office is experiencing a large call volume you may be transferred to the message system. Telephone calls regarding patient care must be triaged based on the potential illness involved and the order in which the calls are received. All calls will be returned as promptly as possible. If you have not received an initial return call regarding a sick child within one hour, please call again.

Emergencies and After Hours Calls
Handling emergencies at home can be very stressful and challenging. We would like to offer some practical guidelines to assist you:

• If you feel that your child’s condition is critical, call 911 or emergency transport to the nearest medical facility.
• If you feel that you can manage the situation until the next day, but you still would like a PAL doctor to evaluate your child, please call our office early in the morning so that we can accommodate your child.
• If you feel the problem is urgent and cannot wait until the next day, please call 404-250-KIDS or our office at anytime.
