APPOINTMENTS- CURBSIDE CHECK IN

At Pediatric Associates of Lawrenceville, the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff and community are a top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to being responsive to the needs of our families as the situation evolves.

We have taken measures always to maintain a clean office, but considering the current state, we are increasing the frequency of sanitizing surfaces such as doorknobs, counters, and chairs. In addition, our nightly cleaning staff is taking extra precautions. As always, our staff washes their hands frequently, including before and after each visit.

 

Effective Thursday March 26, 2020, we are adjusting our schedule so that well child checks and other appointments are separated. We also will be offering Telemedicine visits where medically appropriate. Click here to learn more.

Prior to your appointment, please familiarize yourself with new procedures for curbside check in. If you have any questions, please call our nurse advice line at: (770) 277 - 6725.

PLEASE NOTE: Masks are required for ages 6+. If you do not have a mask, you must purchase one for $1. Everyone entering the building will be required to answer screening questions & have their temperature taken prior to entry. Hand sanitizer will be provided & is required for the safety of staff & other patients.

APPOINTMENTS

When you arrive:

1.

To minimize the number of visitors to our office, we ask that every patient be accompanied by only one family member.

2.

20 minutes prior to your appointment, you will receive a text with instructions to check in through your mobile device. When you arrive, please WAIT IN YOUR VEHICLE, in our parking lot & follow the check in instructions.

3.

Let us know you're here by replying 'Here' to your appointment text message. You can also pay your co-pay online, from your vehicle, directly on your mobile device.

4.

Once checked in, you will receive additional text messages with further instructions., When your room is ready, you will receive on final text message to proceed inside,.

WHEN TO BE SEEN-

  • If your child experiences any of the following CALL our office for further advice:

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Persistent coughing

  • Behavior that is not normal for your child

  • Fever that is not responsive to fever reducing medications

  • Crying without ability to be consoled

  • Refusing liquids with decreased urine frequency

  • Nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea

  • Loss of senses (smell and/or taste)

  • Fever of 100.5° or higher

  • The following chart represents who needs to be tested:

Fever or signs/symptoms of lower respiratory illness (e.g. cough or shortness of breath)

AND

Any person who has had close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient within 14 days of symptom onset.

Fever or signs/symptoms of lower respiratory illness (e.g. cough or shortness of breath)

AND

A history of travel from affected geographic areas with 14 days of symptom onset

Fever or signs/symptoms of lower respiratory illness (e.g. cough or shortness of breath) without alternative explanatory diagnosis

AND

No source of exposure has been identified

KNOW HOW TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY-

  • Wash hands:

    • Use soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer

    • Wash for at least 20 seconds

  • Avoid:

    • Touching eyes, nose, mouth

    • Close contact with people who are sick

    • Contact with others when you are sick

    • Avoid mass gatherings

    • Practice social distancing by staying 6 feet away from others

  • Respiratory Etiquette:

    • Cover your mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing

    • Discard the tissue in the trash

    • Wash hands or use sanitizer after touching the tissue

  • Cleaning:

    • Disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces with regular household cleaning products

    • Clean your cell phones and any other electronic devices with approved wipes or cleaning products
